Having a personal trainer just got more convenient and affordable – a free, new smartphone app called idoo wakes your “7th sense” and monitors your workouts. Users can customize their avatar trainer, either Slim Kim or Chill Bill, with different hair, eye and skin colors. To use the app, you can pick one of the offered workouts, some of which cost an additional fee – holding the phone in your hand, the avatar demonstrates what to do and you follow to the beat played on the phone. The program will track your posture, your progress and even your history of calories lost in its system, which will win you points for further upgrades.

Watch the promotional video below to see how it works:

idoo has been very well-received: users on Google Play have given it 4.7 out of 5 stars. They also left comments like, “Best workout app I’ve ever tried hands down!” To read the press release, which lists all the features of the program, click here. You can also learn more at the idoo webpage and Google Play.
