Reinhard Krug's surreal photoscape pictures some of the worlds largest cities as floating islands.

Hamburg-based graphic artist and art director Reinhard Krug has created a compelling series of prints featuring famous cities titled Islands. Modern metropolises such as London, Berlin, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Sydney, Cape Town, and New York float in the air on tiny islands like mini asteroids. The serene images are both beautiful and surreal.

Highlighting iconic city centers, the images manage to include a large amount of identifiable structures and locations. In London for example, we can see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in the background, while the Thames river pours under Tower Bridge and off the island in the foreground.
