A designer's unique visual twist on vases and candlesticks provide a visually arresting optical illusion.

Designer Maya Selway has unveiled a series of simple yet artful home decorations that look like half-finished sketches when viewed from a certain angle in a light, plain background. Shaped like bowls, bottles, vases, and candle holders, Selway's ‘sketch decors' are wires made out of oxidized copper and specifically crafted to stand upright despite the varying weight distribution in the piece.
