Famous pics are Photoshopped into popular self-portrait style shots for newspaper campaign.

Advertising agency Lowe Cape Town recently launched a print campaign for The Cape Times in South Africa that is causing some double takes.

In a clever ad campaign meant to position The Cape Times as being on the front line of the news, Lowe approaches iconic news photos from a different angle. A self-shot angle, to be exact.

Photoshopping famous photos like Will and Kate kissing on their wedding day, the V-J Day kiss in Times Square, Desmond Tutu’s election, and Winston Churchill at his Chartwell estate, Lowe is adding an up-close-and-personal element to these news stories.
