The DLabHook is a small device for stores that triggers product demonstration videos on a digital display when an item is taken off the rack. Currently being tested at women’s retailer TuTuanna, teamLab‘s device attaches to the end of a rack and uses sensors to detect when a customer picks up a product. Photos of a model wearing that particular item are then shown on the screen to help shoppers decide whether they want to buy it.
