Planet Four invites people to assist planetary scientists in identifying and measuring features on the Martian surface.

You may not be able to work for NASA, but with this new site you can help identify and measure features on the surface of Mars. Planet Four is a citizen science project designed to help planetary scientists by finding and marking ‘fans' and ‘blotches' on the Martian surface.

The images on the site were taken by the HiRISE (High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) camera on board the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. There are too many for the scientists to examine alone and computers aren't very good at detecting the features, so they are crowdsourcing the efforts of volunteers.
