Each year, artists are asked to design suites made entirely out of snow for the dwelling in Sweden.

The Icehotel in Northern Sweden is constructed every November-December out of only ice and snow before it melts away in late spring. Each year, artists from around the world are asked to design and create a hotel suite.

By day these suites form the gallery of the hotel, visited by 30,000 people and slept in by 15,000 international guests during the season. Multi-disciplinary Dutch designer Wouter Biegelaar was selected for ‘Suite 315: Iceberg'. He writes on his website:

An iceberg in a soft environment. emphasizing the characteristics of the two materials. Snow being soft and easy to form. Ice being hard and “sharp”.
