Naked & Famous creates wacky pants using thermochromic dye.

Denim designer Naked & Famous is known for their playful and creative approach when it comes to creating products. They recently unveiled a pair of thermochromic jeans that change color according to how hot or cold the wearer is.

When you're cold, the jeans start off as blue, but as you warm up, the color of the jeans fades to white. The color-changing effect works with thermochromic dye that has a molecule inside that augment their hue based on temperature range.

The thermochromic jean is filed under the brand's “Weird Guy” collection and is available at Barneys New York for $240. The Canadian brand is also behind fashion items like the pair of scratch-and-sniff jeans, glow-in-the-dark jeans, and also a pair of jeans so thick and heavy that it could stand on its own.
