The tagline for KillSwitch is, “Making breakups suck less,” which is an app that discreetly removes traces of your ex from your Facebook profile. At the click of a button, it crawls through your social network and ensures that all status updates, tags, and photos of your ex are deleted.

KillSwitch gives users the option to delete the content automatically, or manually select which ones to get rid off. The app is easy to use and won’t require the user to detag photos, or deactivate their account to get over a breakup.

Erica Mannherz, co-founder of ClearHart, an agency of KillSwitch, explained to PSFK that:

It’s not a vindictive tool, just an answer to what do when you break up in the digital age.

The app isn’t only to delete mentions of your exes, but can also be used in the same way for former co-workers and friends. KillSwitch is coming soon to Google Play and the App Store.
