‘Pheed’ is a new app-based platform that combines successful features from popular social media networks. Elements that can be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Ustream, and SoundCloud, can also be seen on Pheed.

The platform allows users to post any media with no limits on content size. Photos can be any resolution and shape, while videos can be as long as four hours. Pheed could also be the first social media site that addresses user-concerns about copyright issues. Members can also watermark their posts at a click of a button, which makes the content legally binding.

Furthermore, Pheed users can charge money for others to view their content. According to a LinkedIn  article:

Users can charge anywhere from $1.99 to $34.99 per view, or $1.99 to $34.99 per month, and they own all of the content. Pheed makes a profit by taking half of the revenue to cover their bandwidth and storage, payment processing, and of course, Pheed’s profits.

Since launching in November 2012, Pheed has already gained a following from photographers, filmmakers, musicians, and artists. Recently, the app became popular with teenagers, which saw the app rocket to the number one spot in the social media category on the App Store.
