Bus Stop Surprises Waiting Commuters With Sudden Rain Showers [Video]

Weather Channel promotes its new app by shocking people waiting for the bus.

Unsuspecting commuters were caught in the rain as they waited inside the shelter. Of course, this wasn’t just an ordinary bus stop shelter, but one that has been modified and adjusted with hidden sprinklers on the roof inside.

The custom bus shelter was part of Weather Channel’s new campaign to promote its updated app for the Android. The app includes a new feature where users can receive hourly updates of the local weather and get a more precise times to determine when it is expected to start raining, and when it will stop.


Essentially, with the help of this new app, getting drenched is the thing of the past. However, the Weather Channel wanted to see for the last time people getting caught in the rain by surprise. The outdoor media was created by the agency Iris and certainly got the attention of daily commuters. Watch the video below to see the hidden rain machine inside the bus shelter:
