Perfume and flowers are quintessential Mother’s Day gifts, and Chanel wants to bring British mothers both this weekend, setting up a pop-up flower stall in time for UK Mother’s Day (which is celebrated March 10th).

For just three days, beginning today, the brand will have a flower stall in Covent Garden (which historically was vegetable and fruit market) with a beautiful display of Rose, Jasmine, Iris and Patchouli as well as giant bottles of Chanel perfume.

Each flower is a scent used in many of the iconic perfume such as no. 5, no. 19 and Coco, and there is a perfumer on-site to explain the different scents, how they are used to build the layered famous smells, and which would be the best for your mother. Every 100ml bottle purchase, comes with a free bouquet. In the elegant style of Chanel, it is not just a bouquet but it is hand-tied with a personal note written by an in-house calligrapher, with a choice of quotes by the inimitable Coco Chanel herself.

The stall is a clever way to celebrate the holiday, combining two classic gifts for mothers while also creating association with the fashion house. Here’s hoping Chanel remembers US mothers on May 12th.
