Facebook Employees Get New Electronics From Free Vending Machine

Instead of requesting new office tools, employees just swipe their IDs to receive instant technology.

The vending machines you would find at Facebook HQ’s IT department don’t just dispense the usual sodas and candies. Instead, these machines are stocked with computer peripherals and electronics, such as keyboards, mouses, headphones, and cables.

The tech-dispensing machine is just one of the ways Facebook keeps its staff happy. Instead of going through corporate red tape to receive a new keyboard, employees simply swipes their card at the vending machine before selecting which item(s) they want.

Although Facebook pays for the products, employees do receive a copy of the bill each month so they can keep track of what they’ve “purchased” and to ensure that no one abuses the system.
