To promote the Toronto Silent Film Festival, which runs from April 4th-9th, ad agency Cossette has developed a creative campaign that uses new media to promote old media. They created three Instagram accounts containing black and white images: tsff_1, tsff_2, and tsff_3.

When users scroll quickly through these pictures in slideshow view from the Instagram mobile app, it creates a flipbook-style trailer for the festival, reminiscent of early silent films. Cossette co-chief creative officer, Matt Litzinger, said:
