Isbjerget is the Danish word for “iceberg” and it’s also the name given to an apartment complex in Aarhus, Denmark. The sleek block of waterfront apartments resemble the shape of angular icebergs from afar, as if they’re floating on the water.

Almost all the residents have views overlooking the sea. Isbjerget was designed in a collaboration between four architectural firms: JDS, CEBRA, SeARCH, and Louis Paillard. The project took five years to complete and is one of the first buildings to be constructed in the new docklands area, Bynære Havnearealer.

Bynære Havnearealer, a former container port, is now an upcoming area that will be home to 7,000 inhabitants and provide 12,000 jobs in the process. See more photos of the Isbjerget apartment complex in the gallery below.
