Breast milk is something essential for every child’s development, but not necessarily something you would consider the next must-have fashion accessory. Unfortunately, this time you’d be wrong as Etsy has proven there is a market.

MommyMilk Creations is one of the most popular stores on the site offering up these unusual keepsakes. The process is fairly simple, all you have to do is choose whether you want a pendant or a necklace and send two tablespoons of your breast milk in a zip-lock bag. The company then preserves the sample of milk in resin and shapes it into your selected design. It normally takes about 8 weeks for the pendant to arrive.

The creator of these unusual mementos got the idea after realising how much time mothers spend breast feeding their children. It is a cocktail of nutrients and vitamins for your child and brings about a lot of change, as well as strengthening the bond between mother and child. With such a significant role in both parties lives, a reminder of this importance seemed to make perfect sense.

The pendants range in price from $69 to certain items crossing the $100 mark.
