Now that Google has proven it’s capable of implementing ideas such as maps, street views and augment reality effectively – why not roll them all into one package?

The latest patent from the tech giant outlines a system that would bring together panoramic views, 3D models and potentially, live feeds. This way there is less of a disconnect between what you’re seeing on your navigation system and what you’re seeing through the front window of your car.

If the patent comes to fruition it could mean a new era of satellite navigation, maybe even to the point where the satellite navigation can do all the work and you just have to sit back and wait until you arrive at your destination.
