International fashion designer and Louis Vitton artistic director Marc Jacobs has designed clothes for stars from all over the world. The latest celebrity slated to wear his creations is none other than Japanese digital pop star Hatsune Miku, who is the star of the new opera The End by musician and artist Keiichiro Shibuya. The End features music and videos created entirely by computer.

For the uninitiated, Hatsune is the famous holographic diva created by Crypton Future Media. She has performed in sold-out concerts in Tokyo.

Hatsune’s outfits for the opera were inspired by Louis Vitton’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection. This collaboration between the musician and the designer is certainly a new and significant one. Everything that Hatsune wears during the opera can only be seen first-hand by those who go to the performances.

The opera will be held at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo on May 23-24 and at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris on November 13 and 15.
