Ad Agency Puts Billboards In Beards

Agency launches 'Beardvertising' to monetize men’s facial hair.

While mustaches are having a moment, beards will always be cool. Kentucky ad agency Cornett Integrated Marketing Solutions shows its appreciation for full-bodied bristle with its latest concept, Beardvertising. which uses beardboards – miniature billboards ads – that hang on a gentleman’s facial hair, in prime view for consumers.

For $5/a day, any bearded folk can have the patent-pending tiny clip-on billboard nestled in their fuzz. The Beardvertising site asks:

Do you have an epic beard? Do people stare at its awesomeness? Of course they do. Do you wanna get paid for having an epic beard? Of course you do. Join the world’s first Beardvertising network. Get paid.

While the website is clearly tongue-in-cheek, there is an element of innovative, non-traditional advertising. Major companies A&W and Eagle One are taking it seriously enough to participate as advertisers. Creative on the project Whit Hiler told Business Insider that beardvertising is the ‘next big thing.’ He added:

 We’re getting a ton of emails from guys with epic beards that want to host beardboards and we’re actually in talks with some brands that want to be beardvertisers. I think we’ll probably be seeing some ‘beardboards’ in the wild before too long.


So if you’re strapped for cash, put down the razor, guys… your beard could be a moneymaker.
