A design competition called for the online community of designers to create garments inspired by Monsters Inc.

Disney and design community Threadless have recently partnered to host a series of competitions that allow designers to create t-shirts featuring Disney characters.

Following ones for The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Muppets, Iron Man, and Disney villains, the winners of the Monsters Inc. competitions were announced last week.

These contests help Threadless community members get recognition and payment, while helping Disney stay relevant with the young urban demographic.

This latest competition, which received 247,730 votes on 487 submissions from around the world, has led to the production of 16 Monsters Inc. t-shirt designs. The collection is exclusively available on Click through to see a selection of the designs:
