School of Visual Arts student Randy Gregory has been running a 100-day Tumblr project to during which he suggests a possible improvement to the NYC subway system every day.

As of today, he has posted a total of 58 possible improvements, some of which include system diagrams on the platforms, sound proofing and even gym-style flooring to reduce the strain of a long journey on the subway.

Some of the suggestions seem exceedingly simple and there the hope that they will be implemented with the help of public support. For other, slightly more ambitious ideas, there could be a chance, albeit a slim one.

Gregory’s project was created with the intention of encouraging people to speak up and try to make a difference. With that said, the best thing to do would be to take a look at the Tumblr for yourself and see which ones you like, then show your support however you can – especially if you live in New York.
