As part of the brand's Open Happiness campaign, McCann modified the drink opening to make it look jovial.

Ad agency McCann has slightly altered the packaging design for the iconic Coke can so that it ties in with Coca-Cola’s ‘Open Happiness’ campaign. The can’s opening in the top has been modified to make it look like it’s smiling back at you.

The gap in the ‘Happy Can’ has been shaped with curved edges so that it resembles a grin once opened. This version of the can is being used in advertisements and billboards in major Italian cities to promote the design but it hasn’t gone into production yet.
