Parisian interior designer, Gregoire de Lafforest created ‘Cage Archibird’, a clever table combining sculpture and furniture in the form of a custom designed birdcage inside a wood console table. Lafforest explained that “the idea was to develop a cage that would break conventional codes, the bird is staged as in a theater. Its pure materials it gives a great view of nature.”

Constructed from solid oak, the table features glass on the table’s surface—with fake tree branches made of steel where the birds can perch. It includes an extended surface so owners to use it as a regular table. This dual-functioning table is great for having a cup of tea as well as birdwatching.
