The 'Sausage In Art' series takes artworks by Jeff Koons, Edvard Munch, Van Gogh and others and reinterprets them with smoked and cured cold cuts.

Berlin-based photographer Karsten Wegener‘s series ‘Sausage In Art' takes classic pieces by artists like Jeff Koons and Pablo Picasso, and reinterprets them with smoked and cured meats.

Co.Design reports that Wegener got the idea for the series when he saw a piece of ham in the grocery store that looked like Edvard Munch's The Scream. With help from designer Silke Baltruschat and food stylist Raik Holst, he has taken a number of photographs that reinterpret famous artworks.
