Umphrey’s McGee is what can be described as a jam-band, a group of musicians that specialises in creating their songs as they play on stage, but now it seems they’re creating an entirely new way to experience music as well.

What a sound engineer hears at a music concert is often far superior to what the audience is hearing. He gets every instrument through his mixing board, balanced to perfection and without any other venue-specific problems such as acoustics or a poor PA system.
