Cider-maker Kopparberg launches custom glass security tags in an attempt to reduce the number of glasses being taken from bars.

A recent study has shown that over 90% of bar-going folk have stolen or considered pinching a piece of glassware from a drinking establishment to commemorate a night out. Cider-maker Kopparberg is protecting its own logo pint glasses by installing custom-made security tags that explode ink on the thief if they are more than 100 meters away from the bar.

Kopparberg recently came out with a new set of pint glasses, but found they were struggling to keep them in stock at bars because they were constantly getting stolen. Says Rob Calder, Head of Marketing at Kopparberg:
