Sometimes it’s hard to tell if the Facebook birthday messages you receive are heart-felt, or simply a conditioned response. To put your mind at ease, the Outback Steakhouse in Brazil has created a chair that hugs you every time you receive a birthday message.
The steakhouse worked with Brazilian ad agency Lew’Lara\TBWA to turn something purely digital, into a physical experience to make you smile – or squirm depending on your personality.
All that’s required is connecting your Facebook account to the chair after you sit down, and every message that hits your wall with the words “Happy Birthday” will trigger it to hug you.
