Taiwanese company Foxconn, the main manufacturer of the Apple iPhone and iPad, has revealed that it is coming out with a SmartWatch, a wearable device compatible with the iPhone.

The wrist watch can connect wirelessly to the iPhone and has neat little functions like the ability to measure the user’s respiration and heartbeat, check phone calls, and even Facebook messages. The company also plans to add more features like fingerprint identification that can help record health data of the user.

The SmartWatch was revealed at the company’s shareholders meeting last week. Information on its pricing or availability has yet to be announced.

This new device comes at a time when rumors of Apple releasing its iWatch abounds.
