There was a time – namely during World War II – where food waste was considered a crime against humanity and your fellow citizens. But these days, where First World rations are non-existent and 30-40% of bought food doesn’t make it to the plate, food waste seems to be the norm. Food Huggers wants to do their bit to prevent your fruits and veggies from rotting in the fridge and ending up in the trash. Their product, a silicone-based food covering, fits over produce that has been cut in half, to keep them fresher, longer.
