How Brands Paid Tribute To The Royal Baby’s Birth

Prince William and Kate waited hours to make a birth announcement, but that didn't stop brands from capitalizing on the exciting arrival.

Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate announced the birth of their first son, as the media waited with baited breath. With months to prepare, a number of brands seized the moment to release timely advertisements through Twitter to celebrate and congratulate the couple.


For instance, Coca-Cola congratulated the Royal couple with an ad reading: “Time for a Royal Celebration” including a picture of two bottles labeled Will and Kate as part of the “Share a Coke” nationwide push that replace its branding on bottles with more than 150 of the UK’s most popular names. Mashable brought to light some great examples, and we selected some of our own which you can see in the gallery below.
