Designed by Amsterdam-based award winning designers Jair Straschnow and Gitte NygaardOff-Ground is a public installation that aims to inspire grown-ups to have a little fun.

Off-Ground consist of seating materials that hangs off bars. The seating elements can be moved around to create a hammock, a low hanging seat or even a swing. The installation is made from recycled materials such as rejected fire hoses.

Off-Ground is Straschnow’s and Nygaard’s way of showing how people perceive and use public space. The installation also means to question how playgrounds are usually designed with only children in mind.
