Created by digital artist and interaction designer Sures Kumar in collaboration with Lana Z Porter, Pixelate is an eating game designed in Guitar Hero style. The object of the game is to eat the most food in the right order.

The developers built the game with Arduino and openFrameworks. They installed a digital screen on a custom dining table and created a special fork that detects what food the players are eating. The digital interface shows the players what food to eat and when to eat them. The special fork detects the food by measuring the resistance of the food.

The game is meant to help encourage children to eat healthier types of food. The game can also help in managing food portions and teach people about nutrition.

Pixelate was exhibited at the Henry Moore Gallery in Royal College of Art, London.
