You can create a physical connection with friends who are someplace else with the Touch Room app by GSP Beta Labs, the innovation group of San Francisco-based agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

The Touch Room is an iPhone app that puts the user and his or her friends in the same virtual room where they can interact with each other by touching their iPhone screens.

The user initiates the connection by creating a virtual room on the app. The user can invite friends to the virtual room and watch their touch points move around on the screen in real time. When their ‘fingertips’ touch, the iPhone vibrates to simulate the physical connection.

The app is currently available for free on iTunes.

Watch the clip below for a quick demo of how the app works.
