Whimsical Inventions Add Functionality To Everyday Items [Pics]
Patrick Strattner’s 'Prototypes' series takes products and adds elements to them that could help raise people's quality of life.
Patrick Strattner, a German editorial, commercial and fine art photographer based in Southern California, has designed a number of quirky inventions. His ‘Prototypes’ series takes everyday products and adds elements to them with the aim of improving people’s quality of life.
Strattner creates and then photographs the inventions, which include an automatic full mouth toothbrush that can clean the upper and lower teeth at the same time. The portable sweaty armpit t-shirt dryer has a place to hang an item of clothing and hairdryers for getting rid of any sweat patches.
His nighttime shades have automatic dimming headlights attached, and the hovering grocery shopping assistant features colorful balloons and a leather hand lead. There is also a battery operated back hair shaving system, a three-wheeled adapted bike with a broom on the front, and a zippered sweatshirt with attachable velcro accessories.
