London-based The School of Life has launched a new service where people have consultations with a psychotherapy and art therapist expert who will help them solve their issues and problems using relevant works of art.

Similar to the organization’s Bibliotherapy service, the Visual Arts Therapy service consists of a 45-minute consultation with the visual arts therapist. The session can be done face-to-face at The School of Life premises or via Skype. After the consultation, clients will receive a set of curated images along with a guide on how to get the most out of these images.

In addition to the new service, the organization has also published Art As Therapy, a book that details how art can help cure psychological problems. The book introduces a different approach to art, as a therapeutic tool. The book also comes with a website or mobile app that can connect users with particular art works to help them with their issues.

A Visual Arts Therapy session costs £80.00 while the Art of Therapy book is available for pre-order at a price of £24.95.
