Canon just released the 10 short films produced as part of its 2013 Project Imagination campaign. The campaign, which began over a year ago, saw 5 celebrity directors (Biz Stone, James Murphy, Eva Longoria, Jamie Foxx and Georgina Chapman) as well as 5 amateur directors work under the tutelage of Academy Award winner Ron Howard to create a series of short films for the world’s first photography inspired film festival.

Canon kicked off the initiative by asking fans to interpret 10 tenets of storytelling through photographs. Following the receipt of tens of thousands of submissions, the 10 directors then selected 10 photos each – one from each tenet – to inspire their film.

The films premiered at the Project Imagination Film Festival at New York City’s Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on October 25th.

This is the second year of the Project Imagination campaign, created for Canon by advertising agency Grey New York.
