Design Firm Rebrands Lollipops For An Adult Audience [Pics]

Russian firm creates an 18+ line of Chupa Chups that takes inspiration from BDSM.

Moscow-based creative team Firma has decided to repurpose Chupa Chups for a more mature audience, creating a line of lollipops that draw on some very sexual themes. The new 18+ range is called “Sucker” and features three different designs – BDSM, Fetish and Toys.

The firm were aware that adults enjoy lollipops just as much as kids, but they didn’t just want to alter the color scheme or use more adult flavors such as whiskey. Firma started tinkering with the idea in 2008, and showcased the adult Chupa Chups in 2012 at the Bread & Butter Berlin trade show where they attracted a lot of interest.

If the sexualized, sugary snacks ever made it to mass-scale production, it’s unlikely they would be on display next to the family-friendly version in supermarkets – they may even be sexual enough to attract an age restriction in some countries. Even if they did make it into the hands of children, they probably wouldn’t know there was anything different about the design, especially as the lollipops draw on some very “adult” themes.
