Visual planner digitizes the way we make appointments with moveable bricks.

Created by Vitamins Design, The Lego Calendar is a wall mounted planner made out of Lego blocks. Specially coded software using openFrameworks and openCV allows users to take a photo of the visual pane with a smartphone and synchronize the it with Google Calendar. The software automatically detects changes on the calendar by scanning the uploaded picture.

The LEGO Calendar is easy to comprehend and use; every row represents a month and every column represents a day of the week. Every person has their own LEGO character and designated project color, as well as their own row, to better index information. Hoping to design a more tangible office organizer, the designers at Vitamins Design found a way to seamlessly merge the digital and physical world.
