The retailer is opening its first dedicated Online Fulfilment Centre to meet the growing demand in London and the South East of the UK.

Sainsbury's is going to open an Online Fulfilment Centre in East London to support its growing online grocery business. The move will lead to the creation of 375 new jobs, with the 185,000 sq ft facility enabling the retailer to serve an additional 20,000 customers each week.

Sainsbury’s Online currently delivers to over 190,000 customers every week with sales growth of 15% per year. With online orders being the fastest growing area in the grocery industry, Sainsbury's is leading the pack by shifting their focus to these customers.
