To promote the Adidas Boost shoe, the brand installed a machine that doles out rewards for exercising.

To promote the Adidas Boost shoe, the sports brand created a treadmill vending machine that counts the energy expended by runners and then gives out a reward based on the runners' performance.

To use the vending machine, one simply has to run on the treadmill. The machine counts the running joules and then dispenses a reward to the runner based on his or her performance. The higher the joules, the bigger the reward.

The treadmill vending machine was set up in a couple of malls in Dubai.

The campaign showed that ‘runners are always in need of a boost' and that rewards are sometimes the best way to motivate people to exercise.
