Mercedes Integrates Touchscreen Technology Into Armrests
The car brand's newest 2015 model features a touchpad control center.
One of the cool features of German car maker Mercedes-Benz's 2015 S65 AMG model is an arm rest with a touchpad where drivers can swipe, gesture, write, and zoom just like a tablet or smartphone.
The touchpad, measuring 2.6 by 1.8 inches, links to a large heads-up display that shows relevant information such as speed limits, navigation info, vehicle speed, and more. The touchscreen allows the user to scroll and zoom with the two-finger pinch. Users can also write down words and numbers or quick addresses for navigation purposes.
