Silva Lovasova 3D-scanned miniature items and enlarged them to functional sizes as actual home decor.

The 1:1 project by designer Silva Lovasova is a collection of furniture and home decors that are based on doll house furniture and accessories.

Lovasova scanned miniature furniture and accessories to create 3D models of the tiny objects and then enlarged them to functional sizes using digital software. The large items were created with extruded polystyrene using CNC milling while the smaller items were molded in porcelain or created with epoxy tooling board.

The designer kept the inaccuracies from the miniature pieces in the enlarged versions. The marks that the digital manufacturing tools left on the molded pieces were also retained to highlight the imperfections of the techniques and processes used.
