Niko Niko have already added an environmental aspect to weddings with their biodegradable confetti, which is why they have now turned their attention christmas cards. Instead of feeling guilty about throwing away a mountain of christmas cards, you can just head out to the back garden and plant them instead. So long as you supply them with soil, water and a lots of love, you will have a garden overflowing with wildflowers by the time summer rolls around.

The company also offer cards for other occasions such as birthdays, births, and general greetings, all of which cost just over $5 from their website. With each purchase you get one biodegradable card and a recycled envelope to ensure the recipient has a garden they can be proud of when the weather breaks.

Niko Niko means “say cheese” in Japanese and that is exactly what the company aims to do each and every day  make you smile. Run by Sofie Los and Saskia Clarijs, the company aims to design products that are surprising, eco-friendly, and maybe even a little bit funny.
