Laura Jones, product marketing manager for Google Shopping, spoke at PSFK’s launch event for our Future of Retail Report about the Google Hangout she spearheaded with legendary fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. By tapping into the joy of shopping in the real world, Jones says, she was able to replicate the same feelings online:

We’re looking to the real world and online and thinking about how to build a cross-platform experience that draws inspiration from the simplicity and fun of real-world shopping, but uses technology to dramatically enhance that.
