The healthy pizza alternative that comes frozen and low in sodium and fat uses seaweed instead of salt.

UK-based company Eat Healthy believes they might have discovered the holy grail of pizza, an appetizing pie that can – and should be – eaten up to 3 times a day. If you are skeptical about this healthy alternative, rest assured, because the company promises they did not replace flavor for nutrients.

This low fat and low sodium pizza is loaded with favorable toppings like mozzarella and cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, red pepper and garlic powder. But there is one small twist (read: secret ingredient) — seaweed. If the idea has you running in the opposite direction, just know that the seaweed actually serves as a healthy alternative for salt on the pie. Maclean assures us, “once you apply the toppings, the flavor and smell of the seaweed is gone.”

Now with a product that people are learning to love, Maclean is looking to market the healthy product in a junk food package with hopes to promote better eating habits among the younger generation. They call it the “healthy by stealth” initiative. As long as the food tastes good, there is no reason why children would be opposed to the idea of eating something green.

Maclean is confident in his company’s line of pizzas, and will be looking to stock American shelves in the near future. For $5.50 a pizza, how can anyone reject a budget meal that is both healthy and delicious? Frozen pizzas never looked so good.
