In Brief

Marcel Duchamp inspires a new art work from beyond the grave.

Digital agencies Syzygy and Unique, in partnership with Park Village, have given life to a Marcel Duchamp piece that was conceived 100 years ago, but was far beyond the technology available at the time. It’s called “La Maree Humaine,” or “The Human Tide,” and was discovered in 2010 inside a long-lost Duchamp book found in a Norfolk, England junk shop. The video paints the oceans waves with light as they meet the sand at various points in the day to create hypnotizing snake-like movements.
