Independiente by Manifiesto Futura is sheathed in a book cover that transforms into a plant holder.

Independiente by Monterrey by Mexico-based independent design studio Manifiesto Futura, is an experimental project which features a book sheathed in a packaging that transforms into a sculptural plant holder.

The book, which contains personal writings and photos, was written by studio co-founders Vicky González and Iván García.

The packaging is made out of 100% biodegradable materials and can be re-used into a functional flower pot.

The project was created for Design Week Mexico and was meant to be unveiled at Rufino Tamayo Museum in Mexico City.
