With the 86th annual Academy Awards just around the corner, Shutterstock has re-created the movie posters of the Best Picture nominees as pop art.

The company’s design team did the same thing last year and the results were so great that they decided to revisit the project.  Shutterstock gave its designers their choice of Best Picture nominated movies to re-imagine in a pop art style.

The resulting works of art include the poster of “American Hustle” done in artist Eduardo Paolozzi’s collage style, “Nebraska” as a Warhol-inspired poster, the “Captain Phillips” poster is recreated in the style of Robert Rauschenberg, and “Gravity” in true pop art style with bananas floating in space.

You can view the posters on the Shutterstock blog.
