Spanish artist Daniel Canogar turns the family portrait into a moving piece of art that takes over the house.

Family portraits are a time-honored tradition, whether they are brought to life as a photograph or a painting. A family in Spain decided to go the less traditional route and make their portrait an audio-visual one, with family members crawling on the walls of their family home.

Two unnamed Spanish art collectors hired artist Daniel Canogar to create a moving portrait, called “Caudal/Asalto,” on the walls of their Madrid home. The pair asked their extended family to join in, along with good friends, to crawl across a green screen over each other, before breaking out into their own creative poses.
