New cookie combinations at SXSW are determined by popular opinion on Twitter.

At this year’s SXSW, Oreo gave attendees the chance to indulge in 3D-printed cookies which came in a variety of different shapes and sizes as determined by Twitter. Unlike a traditional vending machine, the company’s “Trending Vending Machine” relies on social media to determine which flavors and color combinations are available.

“We’re connecting trending moments to the cookie itself in real time and in real life.” said Bonin Bough, VP of global media at Mondelez.
